Hispanic Heritage Crafts 2015

I was scheduled to do one Hispanic Heritage craft for children and another for adults.

I was inspired by an image on pinterest to have the kids make folk art mirrors.  They are made out of construction paper and tooling foil. I cut the foil into circles, because I didn’t want any kids getting themselves cut.
Attendance: 20

For the adult craft I decided to make an Ojo de Dios, or God’s Eye. Sadly, I only had one patron come, and I will admit that I made a terribly embarrassing mistake during the instruction. You know when you say something really stupid and it will haunt you at random times even years later. Let’s just say I will never forget telling a patron that I was sorry I didn’t speak Mexican. And yes, I am blaming that on sleep-deprived baby brain.
Attendance: 1
